Blue Mountains Sauna

Parents and Bubs - Please Read Session Description

April 1 (Tuesday)
at 9:00

Class length
120 minutes

Australia is in desperate need of a new sauna culture, and we're here to change that!
One of the best things you can do for your kids is take care of yourself!
We’ve been hearing from dads how much the mums and bubs enjoy sauna, so...
Here’s what you need to know:
  • This session is for parents and bubs.
  • To foster cross-generational community growth and inclusivity, all people are welcome to attend, with kids or without.
  • Kids of ages 7 and under sauna for free.
  • Lower temperatures in the hot room (75-80 Degrees Celsius on the top bench - around 65 Degrees Celsius on the bottom bench, perfect for a gentle introduction to sauna for the little ones).
  • Different cold plunge temperatures (10-15 Degrees Celsius for bubs).
  • Please note, these sessions are designed to offer a space for parents to enjoy sauna with, or without their children. We don’t work with children, or offer daycare services.
  • We cannot provide refrigeration for milk and food.
At Public Sauna Co there is no age limit. These sessions are a great way to introduce your little ones to a real sauna culture. In Europe, it’s quite normal for kids to sauna and cold plunge from a very young age. Some of our team members started at 6 months! We can’t wait to see how much sauna will do for you and your little ones!
Additional information:
  • If you're sharing a pack, you can reserve several spots by booking the same class multiple times. Please arrive 5 minutes earlier, if your guests have to to sign the waiver.
  • Your 2 hours start from your booking time, not your arrival time.
  • Complimentary tea, bench towel and slippers are included with each visit.
  • To make it easier on the environment, we encourage our guests to bring their own robe and two bath towels, but just in case, both will be available for hire at an additional cost.
  • Don't forget to bring your water bottle as hydration throughout your session is crucial.
  • Avoid eating a large meal two hours before your session, but don't sauna on an empty stomach.
  • Sit Sweat Chill Repeat - Listen to your body, push yourself responsibly and take time to rest/chill properly. It's not a competition!
Please observe our sauna etiquette and be respectful of others and the facility.
  • Conversations inside the sauna are welcome, but must be kept to a calm, respectful volume to maintain the relaxing environment. Conversations that can be heard across the room are too loud. Our resting areas are perfect for socialising.
  • Controversial topics such as vaccinations, religion, politics, debates on genders etc. do not belong in an environment that is intended for communal relaxation.
  • Please note that any traumatic topics and experiences should not be discussed in the sauna. We never know what others are going through, it is therefore very important to remember that a shared hot room is a neutral space, allowing everyone to enjoy the good heat for different reasons.
  • There is ZERO tolerance for any inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour towards other guests, team members and the facility. Any such behaviour will result in a permanent ban.
Together, we can create a sauna culture that everyone can enjoy!
