We’ll use natural olive oil soap for the felting process, which is non-toxic, kind to the skin, and creates minimal waste.
All materials used can be reused, making this a sustainable and satisfying craft.
You’ll choose your preferred colours and shape, and we will tailor the design to fit your head measurements. With guided demonstrations and step-by-step support, you’ll learn how to felt, shape, and finish your hat so it’s ready for all your sauna sessions.

Felt is a remarkable fabric, durable, insulating, breathable and endlessly versatile. It protects against cold, shields from heat, absorbs moisture, and can be cut without fraying. It’s one of the simplest textile methods and perfect for first-time makers.
Felting is also one of the oldest known textile traditions. Its origins trace back to the Neolithic era, when early humans discovered that animal fibers could be transformed through moisture and friction. Highly decorated ceremonial felt caps have been found in prehistoric Jutland, Denmark, dating back over 3,500 years to the Bronze Age.
Nomadic Mongol tribes under Genghis Khan were known as the “people of felt,” using it for everything from clothing and saddles to shelter. Mongolian yurts are still made with thick layers of felt today, a testament to the material’s strength, flexibility, and longevity.
